This is Veylah. My child. She is absolutely the owner of my heart. She is a 3.5 pound yorkie, three years old and spends the first part of the day mostly on my lap in the office. The rest of the day is spent begging me to play fetch with a toy fox that she has had since she was a baby. She loves riding to the coffee shop and seeing her friends at the drive thru, long walks and stopping every three feet to sniff and mark, but the activity she loves most is camping.
Last summer she and I worked together to renovate a 2001 Jayco Eagle pop-up camper. It was quite the learning experience but so enjoyable. I'll post about that soon. We spent a couple of months getting it just perfect enough to enjoy the outdoors in style. I've included some photos of the camper and our campouts to give you an idea of what is in store for this year. We plan to get back to our home away from home as soon as the weather lets us. We also plan to put some finishing touches to our little pop-up so it has more of an "Earth+Sky" vibe.
Veylah is a sweet and sassy Yorkie and adored by her human, illustrator and designer, Joan Estlund. Together they set out for adventure this spring in a renovated pop-up camper to connect with the earth and sky and to soak in inspiration from the natural world.
